Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

I'm 40 and don't feel it. Recently I've noticed the odd one or two grey hairs and fear going grey right now. Should I colour my hair and if so what colour do you recommend?

My natural hair colour is Dark Blond.

Thank you all.

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

Natural is better.Coloring hair dries it out.

You probably won't 'go grey' for some years, anyway.Finding a stray one now and again is normal.

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

What is "it"?

And I don't see the problem with having a few gray hairs when you're 40. I started having 'em when I was 16, lol.

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

try youthair before you color its like coloring however you dont get the roots like you do with coloring

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

Good for you for feeling so young! I would suggest getting a professional colouring job done by your hairdresser.

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

you dont have to dye tour hair because of one or two grey hairs...i know people that are in puberty and have grey hairs all over...and because you are blond im pretty sure that someone else cant tell if its actually a grey hair or a really blond one...so theres no point of worrying or dying your entire head....but if u still feel bad about it, you can find a color that matches your natural one...but u might wanna leave that for much later when u are really gonna get grey hair...why bother from now?

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

40's the new 30! I say color it..a color that will make you look as young as you feel.

We're getting older, so our skin is getting a little duller and a main priority is to get a glow or light to our face.

For you, since I don't know your coloring but you said your hair is naturally dark blond..I'd recommend maybe a warm chestnut or copper brown if you want to go darker(this can often make you look glowy and young if you have the coloring for it) or if you prefer to remain light try a strawberry blond color to bring some light to your face.

Good luck!

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

Try buying a dye that's for gray hair, and that includes the color you want to dye.

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

I never used to dye my hair before because it is really thick. When the grays started to arrive, I decided to color it, and go a little bolder, which was always something I wanted to do, and I love it.

Do whatever it is that will make you feel your best, and have a little fun while you're at it !!!

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

Grey hair isn't all that bad, but if you wanna get rid of it, just have dye your hair. First, test out a piece of your hair though... I suggest you try the same color your natural hair is.

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

Go lighter blond with streaks

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

Don't die your hair! Dieing you hair takes far too much attention every few weeks for the rest of your life, or you risk having to survive the growing out phase. Seriously, don't waste time that you could spend on keeping yourself happy and healthy on the vanity of your hair. I'm so glad to hear you don't feel your age.

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

I personally think grey hair is classy.

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

me so sad... me sad man... me have no worthy opinions because men not goddesses like women... men no think they have to be worshipped because we stupid and not good as women.

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

If you only have a very few, then just dye them - don't do the entire head otherwise you have to deal w/regrowth of roots every 4 weeks - which is a pain! You could throw in a few highlights, but again, stay away from the part/root area unless you want to constantly upkeep the roots.

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

Make me a sandwich woman.

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

lucky you i'm 30 and i have heaps of grey hair, most hair colours are good these days you will just have to try a few to find the right one for you.

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

im 20 and i have a few grey hairs. my mates 24 and he has loads. dont worry as they, grey hair is a sign of wisdom..... and beauty(well ok i made the beauty part up :)

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

Blonde highlights. 3 colours and a fine bleach. Then you can disguise the greys for a while, they'll just blend in. Go to a professional hair salon though.

That's what I do.

I have quite a bit of grey - 30+%, I'd say!

The summer sun will also help to bleach the rest of your hair, so it won't be such a problem for you.

Don't go darker. The grey hairs will look bright white when the regrowth shows through.

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

Looks like a case of the pot calling the kettle black here.

I suggest dropping the sexist abuse of men might help.

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

I started going grey at 21. If there are just a few, I would think that you are the only person who will notice.

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

Yes go for it as ignorant people automatically think you are 100 yrs old when you have some grey.Go for a lovely medium brown by Clairol, easy to use and a nice change from dark blonde,it will really lift you (from a few grey hairs person)

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

Hum....I'll be 49 in a few days. I feel better now than I did when I was 20... so, I can relate. I got a few shiny hairs too, but for the most part my hair is getting darker all on its own. I used to be a strawberry blond as a kid, then honey blond, then dark blond. But, now I'm definatly getting into brown.

I watched my mother fight with the hair coloring. She is like me... hair got darker with age. Then suddently she went salt/pepper... heavy on the salt. Now, she just refuses to color it. I'll probablyl be the same way. Just let it go natural.

Age is just a number. Its how you feel inside that counts.

Growing older is mandatory.... growing up is optional!

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

I know the feeling! you could have some low lights put through . The salon could weave in some nice honey colours and maybe a warm blonde.

When you get older you tend to loose colour from your face and hair so it is always a good idea to add more warmth.

I wouldn't go for a full head colour as you will have to keep up with the regrowth. Weaving is a more natural way as grey hair can be picked out and coloured.

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

I know you only wanted females to answer this, but I'm not a sad man, and I won't leave a stupid answer. I'm 41, and I don't feel it either, and I don't fear the grey, and as far as I know, neither does my wife. Most people are astonished to hear our age. And yes, we both have some grey.

The way I see it, let it show. Age naturally. There is nothing to fear, and personally, I think a little grey looks good on a woman.

I think the only real reason for wanting to color your hair is simply not liking the grey...that's fine; but if your doing it to fight the aging process, don't bother. Youth is in your heart, mind, and soul; if it's there, it'll shine through, and transcend the fact that you have any grey at all. Hope this helps.

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

I say if you want to color your hair - do it!! With a dark blond you could go lighter or darker. Is there some color you've always wanted to try? Go for it!! Just keep your skin tone in mind, I am pale so dark colors would make me looked washed out. However, if you are tanner go for something dark - even red. I bet all your friends will follow after you try something new too!! Good luck and here's to NOT feeling your age :)

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

I am a man. Sorry, but I was nosy and had to look. I reckon - you should colour your hair. My wife does. She has had grey hair since she was about 30 and it never bothered me after I found out! Give it your best shot! Us blokes do with aftershave and all the other stuff!

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

Dont fret!!! That's what we lisenced stylist are out here for. There are colors out there that can color or cover your grey having you the dark blond you used to be. Go to a salon near you and talk to a stylist or colorist and they will be glad to help. What ever you do.. DO NOT do this yourself. You will fool around and have green hair..no joke!

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

OK I'm a guy, so my opinion does not count here!

but to be honest a few grey hairs so what we all get them. i was a teenager when i got my first grey hairs.

as it is only one or two a month (i spot) i simply pull them out by the root.

however the choice is yours here you want to dye your hair, fine that is your prerogative. though this is going down a slippery slope as depending on how fast your hair grows you will need to get your hair dyed every couple of weeks.for the rest of your life (or until you are ready to accept yourself for who you are and grow old gracefully and accept the natural ageing process).

assuming you want to dye your hair, stay your natural colour or as close to it for as long as you want to, then slowly go lighter and lighter until you are naturally grey.

trust me this will look better in the long run in my male opinion.

so as i said according to you a male should not comment.

as for what product to use, I'd suggest you go to highly recommended salon and get a professional opinion.

ultimatily it is your life and you have to do what makes you happy. so don't ask opinions on here. the only persons opinion that matters in your life is YOURS. you have to live with you everyday.

are you married?

if yes have you consulted your husband on his opinion?

if not married are you dateing? again if yes have you got his opinion?

if you are not in to guys and are a lesbian assume the above three questions apply to your partner.

hey straight or lesbian i don't care. it is your life you have to life your life the right way for you. and not how others would have you live.

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

wai is lucky. i started getting getting grey hairs when i was 11. as long as you continue to look after your hair well then even if it all goes grey it can still look good

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

try having highlights and just cos your 40 does not mean you should feel it, lol im 54 and still feel like 21, good luck x

Girls only please as I don't want sad men leaving stupid answers.?

Colour your hair to hide the grey. Why have grey hair when you don't want it. I suggest you have a Blonde vibrance with lighter blond streaks.
