I'm only 17 years old, should I be concerned?!?

Ok I'm a 17 year old girl and I'm a little concerned... I'm pretty tall (about 5'10") and just a liiittle bit overweight, but not bad. I have dark hair, but it seems to fall out a lot... at least 20 strands a day between showering and styling my hair, but maybe that's normal? Then, my hair is pretty thick, but I have a thin spot on the back of my head... and the WORST part is over the past few years I have found TWO grey hairs... WTF?!! I'm only 17!!! Am I going grey and bald????

Please help, what could be wrong?

The grey hair could be hair that got disconnected from the root and was just sitting in ur hair, I've had that happen. Either way, only 2 grey hairs isn't anything to be worried about.

However, if ur seeing a bald spot I would see a doctor. I have hiar fall out all the time and I'm 13 but a bald spot forming or there could be bad.

first of all= 80 strands USUALLY fall out of your hair, each day, so, dont worry abut that

and they probably were'nt gray hairs.....

dont worry, but if you really do want some help...

go se your doctor

some ppl get grey hairs earlier than others....but u could be losing ur hair because ur not eating healthy...20 strands a day isnt alot tho so if ur noticing a bald spot ur prolly losing more than that

lots of people in my high school have grey hair and i heard grey hair means you're smart and do a lot of thinking. im not sure about the hair falling out but i think its normal because i lose about that much hair strands and lots of girls have loose hair falling because my sister and mom have a lot of hair in their brush and hairy brushes are common. look at other peoples responses because im pretty sure youre okay

My hair is very thick to and when I get up in the morning, a lot coming out, when I take a shower alot comes out and before I go to bed I pull alot out, I'm not pulling it out, it is almost fallen out, everyday it is like that, and it has been like that for years, but I don't have any bald spots, it is just becasue I have alot of hair and get more everyday. LOL, but if you have bald spots, that might be something to worry about

I have a Japanese friend who is 18 and already has grey hairs, but i'm 99% sure you don't have grey hairs

Well, about the gray hairs... my mother found the first two on me (ok, they were white) at 19, and I think the first ones on my sister at 15. As freaky as it is, it can be normal.

Thick hair can shed like crazy, especially if long...mine does. Although if you're getting a thin spot, might ask a doctor or someone about why that might be happening.

It's the sucky thing I found out after getting into the 20s...you finally get to the top, all grown up but still young, and the youth doesn't plateau for a while, it just goes right back down...
