What's a nice casual coat/jacket for an older guy?

Late 40's, trim, 5'8', trimmed grey beard, some grey hair...but more bald. A cold weather jacket/coat.

I think that a nice wool blazer would hit the mark. For color try something like navy. It's pretty much a neutral and it will go with anything.

you could do a leather car coat or jacket. Try johnston and murphy's. Or also a pea coat which is simple and classic. Also might want to check out cashmere/wool walking coats. those are super warm and can be dressy or casual.
