I natuarally have long, blonde (level 8/9), straight hair. I recently started having it bleached entirely, but hate it. I would like to remain platinum blonde, but with more definition/depth. To correct it, my new stylist decided to dye it a light/medium brown from the ears down and the top was bleached again. The new brown came out a very grey/green ashy color (the stylists mistake in the process). I'm afraid to bleach over the ashy color, for fear my hair will break off, plus, I"m right back to where I started. Would a golden blonde dye (weaved in) fix the ashy color as well as give the bleached top more depth? Is golden blonde a good choice with a blue/white platinum blonde? Lastly, how soon can I re-dye my bleached hair? I used to have the stylist use bleach, weaved in. It kept a very natural look about it.

If I was being sensible I would tell you to go back to the stylist to get the greeny ash colour corrected, but we all know that's a daunting thought! I had that colour once too, but I did it myself (by accident of course lol).
I personally wouldn't have the golden blonde woven into the ash, as you may end up with yellowy and greeny hair. If it was me I would have the ash stripped out first. This will take your hair straight back to where you started with the bleached look, but you could then have 2 or 3 more natural shades of blonde woven in. My hair always looks best highlighted with a mix of creamy blondes and really light biscuit/toffee shades to add a bit of depth. Be prepared to sit in the hairdresser's for a good few hours though, it's a long (and expensive) process when they're doing a colour correction.
PS. In the meantime, tomato ketchup (leave it in your hair for about an hour) helps to get rid of the greeny hue. I know it sounds crazy, but it worked for me!
Good luck with it, I hope it turns out well.

Bleached hair is unnatural, and it always loks it to eveyone except the deluded who do it. Bleaching is a fashion statement and we all do it. I'm a pensioner with new tattoos and two earing in one ear, but I wouldn't do anything to make myself look a freak like bleaching my hair. I've still got hair and I'm happily grey. Unless you are in showbusiness or modelling when it has to look unnatural to give identity then it will always look unnatural.
The best way to hide it is to bring attention to it, dye a red stripe down the middle and tell everyone it was done for a bet and let it grow out. People will love you for who you are not your hair colour.

Why not try just leaving it alone for a change.

First your stylist should have "filled" your blond hair with red or put a little red into the base color she used on the bottom half of your hair, second its not a good idea to re-bleach over the grey/green hair, i would re-dye the grey/green hair with a color the same level just a different hue, look for colors with gold in it, gold is still part of the red family which will cut the green in your hair, ask your stylist to do a fine weave of the color used in the bottom half on the remaining hair on top, all except the Mohawk, i would do a VERY fine slicing of your new color and beach, i would make sure they are only bleaching your regrowth with the bleach to avoid further damage. as far as a time frame to wait, if you decide to do an all over color you can do it tomorrow, just make sure they use a filler before going any darker, and i would strongly suggest not to re lift your blonds back out.

firstky the stylist should have corrected it for you . you are entitled to that if it is their fault. but be carefull, a tint may be better on your hair rather than a full bleach.

the best way to have bleached hair look natural is to quit bleaching it.if you feel the absolute need to appear platinum blonde, highlight it.you should have the stylist correct his/her mistake.if they don't know how, they have no business doin color in the first place.the correction should also be free of charge if it was the stylists mistake.
