How to get a certain hair color?

I want my hair to be the palest light blonde, no gold or anything like that in it. I want it to be more towards an ashy grey tone. I have tried lightest ash blonde dye and have gotten light blonde hair with not too much gold. But its still not what I am looking for. Someone please tell me how to do this :)

Here is How it is done. You are going to need to bleach your hair. when you get it to the pale yellow/ blonde stage you are going to need to tone it out. There is going to be some orange in it. But if you go back to art class what is the color opposite orange on the color wheel? Blue. So you are going to want to use a color with blue tones in it such as an ash blonde. hmmmm funny thats the color you want. leave it on for five minutes and see where that takes you. Just keep it on and watch it till it is the desired color you want. then rinse it with a mild shampoo. if it is permanent color shampoo it twice and condition it. always condition after any color service you or your stylist may do. it will repair any damage done. also rinse the conditioner out with cold water, it closes down your hair cuticle and will prevent the color from slipping out. Oh and when you wash your hair after this only do it once and rinse the conditioner out with cold water. It will keep the color longer.

I have brown hair and have been every color some not by choice LOL The best way to go blond is to bleach it but it has to stay on long enough or it will be yellow like a crayon and it dries your hair out horribly but it does work ! anything else will just be red or golden good luck
