Highlights on dark hair?

Hi all. i have dark brown hair and would love to put on some very subtle and thin ash blonde highlights almost grey... Could this be achieved at home with some highlighting kit? Thank you all x

yeah gurl,. i have dark brown hair as well, and i narmaly get a frost kit from walmart.. works great!!

Yeah, me too! I had dark, dark brown hair. I highlighted my hair and I look like this, http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc119... Just Do pieces at a time. I suggest using a frost kit. Do a color similar to your hair and get lighter and lighter as you go along.

Dark hair usually has a warm underlying pigment and you will never achieve the color you are going for with a box color. You will need to see a stylist to achieve the color you are wanting bc they will need to tone it with a complementary color.
